How Bad Do You Want It?
Taking action has been discovered to be, if not the ultimate, at least one of the top 5 principles for success. Even though we know that taking action is the right call, we still don’t take the steps necessary to achieve the results we are looking for. Today I want to dive into your mindset by asking the question: How bad do you want it? From a mindset standpoint there are three main culprits that inhibit our success. Those inhibitors are fear, stories and complexity. Fear is the most recognizable for us because it is immediate and more tangible than other mindset issues. We fear failure and in a peculiar
Don’t Compromise Success
Has this ever happened to you? You are getting set to wind down a long day of work. You were really busy putting out fires, answering phone calls and finishing up paperwork. Because of this, your day got away from you and you didn’t do anything that you actually wanted to accomplish. What do you do next? Do you stay late and get some of things accomplished or do you walk away from it and tell yourself that you will get to it tomorrow? This scenario has happened to me more times than I would care to admit. If you have a boss, they may remind you that you came
Even The Best Need It….
Coaching. When we think of the term, we often think about sports. When we become adults and assuming you’re not a professional athlete (if you are a professional athlete and are reading this, that’s cool too.), we don’t think about having coaching in our lives. I would argue that this isn’t a step to achievement due to the fact that if you haven’t written your thoughts down, I am not sure that they are goals. They are more like dreams. Once they are written down it is important to break down your goals into measurable items.
Save yourself from mediocrity
Inspiration recently came to me as I was sitting in church. I had recently set out on a new business venture and although I wasn’t looking for verification that my choice was the right one, I received affirmation anyway through “The Parable of the Talents” in the gospel of Matthew. You can read the story here. http://www.gnpcb.org/esv/search/?q=Matthew+25:14-30. I will admit that even when you are pretty sure you are doing the right thing, it’s always nice to hear something that drive it home. When it comes to the challenge of discovering and living Soul Purpose, a little verification here and there doesn’t hurt. For the fearless individuals out there that
