Why We Don’t Measure Results
As I said yesterday, measuring results for your business is critical. Unfortunately, we don’t always set goals and measure results for our business. This is one of the primary reasons that businesses fail. If it’s so important, why don’t we do it. I will just get the first reason out of the way and move on. That reason is laziness or put another way, lack of attention toward doing it. It’s hard work starting a business (although it’s been suggested that I am an entrepreneur because I don’t like to work, that’s funny) and there are a lot of things that we have to do that are outside our skill
What’s your business plan?
We have spent some time talking about one end of the business planning spectrum, the person who doesn’t want to do anything because they don’t know how to do it. The other side of the person who doesn’t do anything is the person who doesn’t start becuase their plan isn’t perfect. I am sure all of us know someone like this. The person who takes no action with putting together their business plan because there may be some holes in their process. Or they worry about the uncertainty of their businesses success. The hardest part about dealing with someone like this is that they are usually pretty smart well put
